The Group

Graduates of The Juilliard School, The Urban Brass Quintet, is a nationally touring ensemble that is based in New York City. As versitile musicians, the UBQ has performed on Brooklyn's Barge Music series as well as Jazz venue The Tonic, in the same night! To further enhance public awareness of brass chamber music and to share their passion for it, the UBQ's performances can range from elementary schools in the Bronx to inside the Metropolitan Museum of Art. In demand in New York City as a freelance ensemble, the UBQ has performed for benifits and events for international diplomats and polititions, various historical societies, and weddings of soap opera stars! As a group, they have performed on the El Paso Pro-Musica series, in El Paso Texas, where they gave clinics at the university and performed several concerts. Other series include the Williamstown Chamber Music Series, Williamstown, MA, Temple Oheb Shalom, Baltimore, MD and many others. Members of the UBQ are regular performers at Lincoln Center's hit Show, South Pacific, the Metropolitan Opera, Philadelphia Orchestra, Orchestra of St. Luke's, and Orpheus. UBQ members are also top calls to record for various film and pop artist recording projects that come through NYC.
